what, another netscape plug-in that won't run on my macintosh? [only a few useful bigtime things do three architectures, adobe pdf and apple quicktime come to mind, other than java itself.] because solaris quicktime barely is operable (via 'xanim'), inferno/limbo would have a nice opportunity if the teaser quicktime codec stubs shipped in inferno filled out a little more, and made it out to the web before javasoft can gel the media layer specs. do we have a lucent/apple licensing issue here? even newtons are getting into the java act -- will lucent play, or is the answer for how to run limbo programs at home to dump the 20+ million apple machines and give more money to bill gates?
